                        Properties of calendars

Calendars facilitate to people forecasting of terms of approach of the various natural influences connected to the seen movement of heavenly bodies - the Earth, the Moon, the Sun.  Such influences are the ebb and flow, the change of year seasons, thawing of glaciers, floods of the rivers, flooding, the weather changes etc.

It is known that in  step with natural cycles biorhythms of  animals and flora are adjusted, for example:

             -  a daily cycle – to be awake in the afternoon and dream at night;

             -  a year cycle (in average latitudes) - occurrence of foliage in  spring and falling off it in autumn,  planting of agricultural crops in  spring and harvesting in autumn, migration and breeding of birds and animals etc.

Monthly biorhythms of people are simultaneously influenced both by natural lunar, and industrial cycles. For reduction of harmful influence of industrial cycles on biorhythms of people it is expedient to synchronize the monthly industrial cycles with natural lunar ones.

Three basic natural cycles: daily, lunar, solar - are incommensurable among themselves. Therefore it is impossible to create a calendar ideally coordinated with  the seen movement of the Sun, the Moon, the Earth.

The solar (Gregorian) calendar used since 1582, is rather  accurate and widespread, but has a number of lacks:

              -  duration of months is various (from 28 up to 31 days),

              -  months of different duration alternate randomly,

              -  quarters (a quarter of year) have various duration (from 90 to 92 days),

              -  the first half-year period is always shorter than the second one (three days in

ordinary year and  two days in a leap one),

              -   years and months begin with various weekdays,

              -  10 - 11 weeks "are split", i.e. the one part of them belongs to one month, the

other part belongs to the other month,

              -  the number of working days in different months of the same year is various

                 (23 - 27 days at six-day working week and 19 - 23 days at five-day one,

              -  the dates of months are not coordinated with weekdays as well as the Moon’s

                  phases.

Lacks of known lunar and lunar-solar calendars are the following:

              -  every  month begins with different  weekdays,

                    -  the same phases of the Moon in various months fall on  different days of a

                       week,

                    -  duration of lunar years is various (353, 354, 355, 383, 384, 385 days).

It is not surprising, that during last two centuries in many countries of the world the question on a radical reform of a calendar and on necessity of creation of the "world" and "eternal" calendar constantly rose (see also chapter "A little of history" - http://Petin3Mikhail.narod.ru/index.htm  ).
